Ice Box

I got this ice box where my heart used to be
I got this ice box where my heart used to be
a-haaaaa~ I'm so cold, I'm so cold, I'm so cold
a-haaaaa~ I'm so cold, I'm so cold, I'm so cold

I hope I'm getting everything I can out of the relationships I hold. Just thinking of all the people I know... it's amazing to me how different and complex everyone is and just how complex the mind is in itself. Two people are presented with the same situation and take from it totally different experiences. They learn and grow in opposite directions but hold something as precious as their relationship, whether good or bad, where they can see those differences and grow even more....
Differences are inevitable and being the bigger person is actually a pretty good saying now that I think of it. Whether I might see our difference as me being more mature than you (or you being stupid), or you might see our difference as me just being a stubborn dumb fuck (AKA Korean), I will try to be the "bigger person" and, in the end, thank God for this thing called Love that He's blessed us with... even if we don't know it.
because that's what exists between us even if we've never talked for more than 5 minutes or have known each other all our lives. That's what brings us together whether we like it or not because God is Love and He created us in Love for the purpose of showing and sharing His Love. What a freaking confusing concept.... but it totally makes sense. He uses us to form us, to teach us, to lift us... closer to Him.

I don't wanna be stuck up in this cold, cold, world.

While I was listening to this song I started thinking about how a relationship can really scar a person but at the same time develop Him/her in areas that cannot be met through other means. The bond in a relationship is needed to survive in this world to stay warm and sane. That bond is driven in Love. Scarring happens when things happen and when we don't realize the truth behind relationships in the first place. Scarring doesn't have to happen when we open our eyes to gain knowledge and truth and come to understand Love even more.

Then we understand God even more... and come to know God for who He really is, not what the world makes Him out to be.
