I were perfect
To walk in the light every day of my life
So that this life could go by smoother,
faster
I don't understand and not understanding makes me....
angry
frustrated
angry and frustrated to the point where...
I don't want it anymore.
Everything is a burden
everything is heavy
The people I want to know I am not surrounded by
The things I want to do I cannot achieve
Why do you make it so hard?
Help me.

Hey Sam!
I know I emailed you, but I just stopped by your blog and saw this post. I totally feel you on this. I get the frustration, the pain, the sadness, the confusion, the desperation to know God, know why, know how, etc. because I'm just lost. It's a terrible feeling to me. It's like I want to know God and know what He wants for me, to have that perfect connection - like what Jesus had with Him - so much so that Jesus was obedient unto death. I want to know God and know everything about Him on my time which would be NOW!
When questioning why God doesn't explain all of who He is, I stumbled across a comment made on one of the blogs I frequent and a guy likened our relationship to God with his relationship with his wife. He said that he could not just tell her to sit down and 'explain all about herself' to him because even after 10 years of marriage and wanting to know her, he said it just wasn't going to happen. He did discover, however, that day by day he is discovering more about her and loving her a little bit more. "And that's what we are striving for with God. To know him and to know His love and return our own little feeble love."
Sometimes our Christian life and walk with God grows in amazing leaps and bounds, but other times it feels like we're just falling all over the place and taking steps back. Remember, Sam, God loves us. He wants an ETERNITY of fellowship with us! When time draws to a close He will still be there and we will be with Him. It's difficult to live in our temporal bodies when we have a soul built to last and long for forever, but let's take it one day at a time, one step at a time. God is patient and kind. Jesus even said He was 'lowly in heart'. Why discourage ourselves when God is always for us? Let's just keep our hearts after Him and have faith that He is with us every step of the way.

P.S. - I just got the CD from these two brothers and their first track "Afloat" is really good.
